Big News from The Sobriquets (from The Sobriquets' email, 12.27.2011)

Hey everybody!! Long time, no see!!

So, there's been HUGE shakeups in the world according to the Sobriquets, the largest of which being, there is no more the Sobriquets. Over the summer, after much discussion, the band amiably disbanded.

Josh Neale, intrepid bassist/vocalist/arranger, moved on to follow his true passion, metal, joining (and fronting) Negation Delirium. They are AWESOME. If your tastes incline you towards the harder and darker parts of the world, check them out, post-haste. Find them on Facebook and Reverbnation, join their mailing list, and let them change your world!!

Dan, Nick, and I, on the other hand, joined forces with Sheltered Turtle, and formed The Way Home. We've played our first few shows already, and have a big future planned. Come see us on Facebook, and Reverbnation, and join our mailing list!!

But wait, you say, wasn't there some big fundraiser and recording project? There WAS, we reply, and HERE IT IS!!!!

The Way Home, with the help and support of Josh Neale, announce our debut LP: "On So Thin A Line" will be released on March 6th, 2012!! The album, recorded at Sine Studios, features strings, horns, chick vocals, the works, as well as the last contributions of Josh on bass! This record is, without a doubt, the best work any of us have ever been a part of, and we couldn't have done it without all of your help.

As of TODAY, the album is available to preorder. There are bundles, including an EXCLUSIVE t-shirt and poster, and EVERY pre-order gets you a digital download of the album on the day of release, and an immediate download of the lead single, My Father's Watch, AND a non-album track that is exclusive to the pre-order!

And, for those of you who helped us Kickstart this record, we haven't forgotten!! Your name will be in the album liner, on our website, and, if you preorder, you will get the record BEFORE EVERYONE ELSE IN THE WORLD. That's right: you will be among the first to hear the record in its entirety!!

So remember: Negation Delirium, The Way Home, and "On So Thin A Line!!" Hope your holiday season has been healthy and happy; we're pumped to see you all in 2012!!
